Police Action Shooting Update
(January 11, 2016) – The Fort Wayne Police Department is releasing the name of the individual involved in the police action shooting Saturday, January 9th:
Chad Allen Kinney M/37
- Fair Condition at a Local Hospital with a Wound to His Knee
- Two Active Warrants, Additional Charges Pending
The officer involved in this incident is:
Officer Jean P. Gigli,
- 13-Year Member of the Force
- On 5-Day Paid Administrative Leave which is Department Policy
- FWPD provided Officer history with the FWPD
Additional charges against Chad Kinney are pending. The investigation is ongoing.
