Lake effect snow today and tonight
(January 10, 2016) – The low pressure that has brought some snow overnight will continue to move northeastward today and into tonight. This low will continue to generate lake effect snow through tonight and where the lake effect snow will fall will be dependent on the wind. The wind is expected to be out of the northwest this afternoon and will turn to the west tonight. Temperatures will be dropping throughout this afternoon into tonight as the very cold artic air continues to move in. This very cold air with the strong wind will create very cold windchill values for this afternoon and through the night.
