Colder and snow into tomorrow
(January 9, 2016) – Rain will being to transition to snow across the area overnight, with temperatures falling into the upper 20s to mid 30s by 7 AM EST Sunday morning. A few inches of snow are possible, with the highest amounts near Lake Michigan as lake effect snow begins Sunday, with most of the area seeing around an inch or so through Sunday. Temperatures will fall through the 20s on Sunday, with temps falling into the single digits above zero for much of the area Sunday night. Winds will also increase Sunday, with sustained winds 15-25 mph gusting to 30 mph across the area. Be cautious of slippery roads late tonight through Sunday, as temperatures rapidly fall below freezing!
