Tonight’s weather story from the National Weather Service:
Quiet weather yet tonight
(January 6, 2016) – The quiet weather for tonight to Thursday will come to an end Thursday night. A low pressure system will begin moving into the area during Thursday night bringing precipitation to the area. Now there is a chance that the precipitation could begin as freezing rain but it will change over to rain as the night progresses and as the low progresses closer.
On Friday into Saturday the precipitation will be all rain as a surface and upper level trough move through. By Saturday night the troughs will push on to the north and northeast and as temperatures drop the precipitation will turn to snow.
