News release from the Allen County SPCA:

Black Friday specials all week long at the Allen County SPCA

(November 23, 2015) – If Black Friday deals are what you’re after, now is a great time to adopt a new family pet. Beginning Tuesday and all this week, the Allen County SPCA is offering half-off adoption fees for all canines when adopters bring an item from the shelter’s Wish List. $85 dog adoptions are now just $42.50. Puppies under 5 months of age are adoptable for a mere $50 and senior dogs are now just $25. These special adoption fees will remain in place through Sunday, November 29, 2015. “We want to do everything in our power to get these animals home for the holidays,” said Jessica Henry, shelter executive director. “If special pricing will incentivize adopters, then we’re all for it. Plus, when adopters bring an item from the Wish List, everybody wins!” Though the adoption center at 4914 S. Hanna Street will be closed on Thanksgiving Day, the shelter will be open Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday from 11a.m. until 6p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from noon until 4p.m. The shelter’s wish list can be found at www.acspca.org.

As always, it’s “Name Your Own Adoption Fee” for all felines.

All animals are spayed/neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. Adopters must complete an application and be approved before taking their new pet home, and an additional charge of $5 for city residents’ annual pet licenses will be added. Adoptions will be offered on a first come first served basis, and same-day adoptions for approved applicants are possible.
