Missing Mozart Event at IPFW Shines Spotlight on Women Composers

(November 17, 2015) — A benefit concert and discussion celebrating both women composers and the 10th anniversary of Community Friends of Women’s Studies, Inc. will take place at Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne (IPFW) Saturday, November 21, at 7:30 p.m. in the Rhinehart Music Hall.

The concert is titled “The Missing Mozart: A Performance of Music by Women Composers throughout History.” Proceeds from ticket sales will benefit the Community Friends of Women’s Studies scholarship fund and students in the Women’s Studies program at IPFW. A dessert reception will be held following the concert.

Tickets are available at the IPFW Box Office or 260-481-6555. Prices are $5 student, $10 general admission, $25 special patron.

This event is co-sponsored by Community Friends of Women’s Studies, Inc., the IPFW Women’s Studies program, Campus Feminists in Solidarity, and Phi Mu Alpha.
