Today’s weather story from the National Weather Service:
Sustained winds of 30 to 45 mph with gusts of 50 to 60 mph today into tonight
(November 12, 2015) – No matter where you are today, high winds are likely to impact you. A High Wind Warning remains in effect until late this evening for sustained winds of 30 to 45 mph with gusts of 50 to 60 mph. Motorists will need to watch for trees and tree limbs as well as power lines in roadways as the strong winds impact weak or previously damaged trees. Driving conditions will be dangerous for high profile vehicles. Going to the beach to see the high waves?? Better view from afar as storm force wind gusts to 50 knots not only send waves in excess of 12 feet to piers and jetties, but also cause beach erosion along the La Porte and Berrien county shorelines.
