News release from Science Central:

Science Central’s Mixology going Bond with “Shaken, Not Stirred” theme

(October 28, 2015) – Science Central goes to the grown-ups in decidedly Bond fashion on Friday, November 6, as it hosts its annual fundraising gala, Mixology: Shaken, Not Stirred. The event, which runs from 6:30-10:30 p.m. at Science Central, 1950 N. Clinton Street, will showcase the past, present and future of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) education to the Northeast Indiana community, and demonstrate that science is fun for everyone, regardless of age.

The adult-only gala event will feature mixologists preparing specialty cocktails while presenting lessons on the science behind them. Paired beautifully with the mixologists will be a fantastic menu of tasty hors d’oeuvres from Catablu along with smooth jazz by the Alicia Pyle Quartet. Ivy Tech culinary students will also be on hand to conduct food demonstrations with cutting-edge gastronomic tools to further illustrate the science in gastronomy. A silent auction with items ranging from a privately-prepared dinner by a local award-winning chef to a fantastic getaway weekend in Toronto will also take place during the course of the evening.

Tickets for the event are $60 per person, $110 per couple, or $400 for a group of eight tickets. Must be 21 and older to attend.
