Fall Property Tax Bills Are Due Tuesday, November 10, 2015

(October 26, 2015) – Chief Deputy Treasurer William Royce wants to remind everyone that the fall property tax bills due date is fast approaching.

“Taxes are due Tuesday, November 10 and must be in our office or postmarked by that date to be considered on time.” Royce said. This year the November 10 tax due date is followed by Veterans Day and the Treasurer’s office will be closed on the 11th. He also wants to remind taxpayers that local banks no longer collect payments. Fall tax coupons were included in the spring tax billing; bills are not mailed out in fall. If a new bill is needed, one can be printed from the Treasurer’s website or by request.

Many payment options are available; by mail, electronically through the Treasurer’s website, by credit card, payments can be dropped off in the Child Support drop box on the south end of the courthouse, on your smartphone or mobile device, or you can use the self-pay kiosk or pay in person at the Treasurer’s office. The newest pay method is to pay by phone. Dial be 1-877-690-3729, use jurisdiction code 7693 and follow the prompts.

Payments may be mailed to: Allen County Treasurer, PO Box 2540, Fort Wayne, IN 46801-2540.

The Treasurer’s office is located in suite 104 of the Rousseau Centre, 1 E. Main St. in Fort Wayne. Please bring your entire statement when paying in person. Office hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. weekdays. The deposit slot in the front of the Treasurer’s office as well as the self-pay kiosk is available from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
