Today’s weather story from the National Weather Service:
Rain will overspread our area today and continue tonight
(October 27, 2015) – A strengthening low pressure system will move north from the lower Mississippi Valley today to the upper Great Lakes on Wednesday. This system will cause rain to overspread our area from the south today and continue tonight, before tapering off to showers from west to east on Wednesday as a cold front moves through. The rainfall may cause minor flooding of poor drainage areas.
Clear the fallen leaves away from storm drains to help avoid this problem.
The storm system will also cause strong winds Wednesday afternoon through Thursday with gusts up to 40 mph.
