Kroger Announces President’s Award Winner Chris Gomez
One of 15 winners in the multi-state operating division

(October 19, 2015) – Kroger Central Division announced that Chris Gomez of Ft. Wayne, Indiana received the highest recognition given to a Kroger associate, the 2015 President’s Award. Chris is the District 4 Manager, overseeing stores in Northern Indiana.

According to Kroger Central Division President Jeff Burt, “Chris began his grocery career in 1985 as an Assistant Store Manager at Scott’s. In addition to this position, Chris served as a Store Manager as well as a District Manager. He joined the Kroger family in 2007 as the District 4 Manager, following Kroger’s acquisition of the Scott’s grocery chain. As a long-time resident of Ft. Wayne, Chris is actively involved in his community as a board member for the Community Harvest Food Bank, the Embassy Theater, the Ft. Wayne Children’s Zoo and the Cancer Services of Central Indiana. Chris and his team have a real passion for serving their community. When not at work Chris enjoys spending time with his wife and three children. It is my honor to present Chris with a 2015 President’s Award.”
