Crime Victim Care of Allen County announces four new board members
(October 14, 2015) – Crime Victim Care of Allen County announces the appointment of four new members of its Board of Trustees, as well as the full slate of officers and board members.
Joining the Board of Trustees are Tina Bennett, Jane DeHaven, Joe Doust, and Mary Tyndall. “All four of our newest Board members embody the spirit of community and bring talent, expertise and energy to the table. We are very fortunate to have them by our side as we continue to grow as an agency.” Irene Paxia, Executive Director.
Tina Bennett is Senior Vice President and Branch Manager at Hallmark Home Mortgage. A Fort Wayne native involved in the mortgage industry for 21 years, she has served on the Board of Directors of Northeast Indiana Mortgage Bankers Association, Erin’s House for Grieving Children and Holy Cross Lutheran Church.
Jane DeHaven is President of Summit City Chevrolet (formerly DeHaven Chevrolet) and has held this position since 2008. After graduating in 1989 from Kelley School of Business with a double major, she began to work for her father’s company, Indiana Corrugated. She served as VP of Sales at Indiana Corrugated until the company sold to Welch Packaging January 19th, 2014. From that point, Jane has continued with Welch as a business developer. Jane has served on the Steering Committee for The Vera Bradley Classic for 22 years. She has co-chaired numerous charitable events in Fort Wayne, but most importantly, she is the proud mother of her only child, Lizzy DeHaven (23).
Joe Doust is Co-Owner of Cap n Cork and a 1979 IPFW graduate in business administration. His community involvement includes serving on the Board of Directors of Erin’s House (for ten years), being a founding Board Member of Mustard Seed Furniture Bank, and volunteering on the AWS grant review committee.
Mary Tyndall has lived most of her life in Fort Wayne Indiana. After graduating with a degree in Communication and English Literature from DePauw University, she worked in television news as a reporter and producer for several years. Mary then worked for a public relations agency in Chicago and returned to Fort Wayne to serve as the Public Information Director for the City of Fort Wayne. Mary spent seven years working for United Way as the Communication Director and then returned to the City of Fort Wayne to serve as a Public Information Officer for the City’s Community Development Division. Mary is married to David Tyndall and they have two boys, Sam (16) and Jack (12).
