News release from the Fort Wayne Police Department:
Search Warrant Service, 2500 block of West State Court
On Monday October 12th 2015, just before 7:00 a.m., officers of the Fort Wayne Police Department Emergency Services Team and Detectives of the Vice and Narcotics Division served a search warrant located at a private residence in the 2500 block of West State Court in connection with the sale and distribution of synthetic marijuana. Synthetic marijuana is also known as “Spice”. Shortly before noon, detectives also served a separate search warrant for a hotel room located at a Fort Wayne hotel.
During the investigation, Detectives recovered 7 pounds of Spice, 700 grams of chemicals used to produce the Spice, 1 pound of marijuana and over $20,000 in cash.
