News release from the Mad Anthony Children’s Foundation:

Mad Anthonys Children’s Foundation donates $200,000 to Mad Anthonys Children’s Hope House

(October 8, 2015) — Leaders from the Mad Anthonys Children’s Foundation presented officials from the Mad Anthonys Children’s Hope House with a check for $200,000 raised through the Mad Anthonys Pro-Am at the Hotel Fitness Championship and the 2015 Red Coat Dinner, which took place September 7 and September 8, respectively.

“We are pleased and excited to provide this donation to the Hope House on behalf of the Children’s Foundation,” said Don Banowetz, board president of the Mad Anthonys. “Once again, it is an honor for everyone associated with the Foundation – including our sponsors, Pro-Am participants and attendees at this year’s very successful Red Coat dinner- to provide this level of support to such a worthy and special organization.”

Officials with Mad Anthonys presented the check at an event Thursday morning at the Children’s Hope House on the campus of Lutheran Hospital. This year’s donation of $200,000 to the Hope House brings the cumulative total donated by the Children’s Foundation to almost $2 million in the eight years since the foundation began its partnership with Hope House.

“On behalf of our board, our staff and, most importantly, those families we serve every day, thank you to everyone at Mad Anthonys for their support in making this sizable donation possible,” added Andrew Gritzmaker, executive director of the Hope House. “We are dedicated to providing families with a welcoming, family-centered and home-like environment, and the support and generosity of the Mad Anthonys Children’s Foundation – as well as their sponsors and pro-am participants – help make it possible for us.”
