News release from the Fort Wayne Fire Department:
House Fire, 5812 Willowhurst Drive
A house fire at 5812 Willowhurst Drive was reported at 23:45 on September 19, 2015. Upon arrival units found heavy smoke and fire from the attached garage. The residents had escaped from the house with their pets. Fire units attacked the fire with hand lines and extinguished the fire. The house sustained heavy fire damage to the garage in addition to smoke and water damage to the rest of the house. A car in the garage was also destroyed.
