Executive of Year led Fort Wayne franchise to best season in history

SOUTH BEND, Ind. (September 17, 2015) – The Midwest League of Professional Baseball Clubs is pleased to announce its 2015 Executive of the Year, Mike Nutter. He is Team President of the Fort Wayne TinCaps, Fort Wayne, Indiana.

The Fort Wayne TinCaps had their best season in franchise history in 2015 under the leadership and direction of Mike. In the face of unpredictable and wet weather, the TinCaps set a number of attendance milestones during the regular season. The team nearly doubled its social media following during the 2015 calendar year, surpassing internal goals for Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram engagement. The TinCaps were recognized as the top Minor League Ballpark Experience by Stadium Journey magazine for the third time in four years, due in part to maintaining an award-winning game atmosphere and facility environment which produces consistent fan support and attendance.

The Midwest League Executive of the Year is nominated and selected by the league’s Member Clubs. The award is presented to an individual who has had a successful season in the areas of leadership, attendance accomplishments, marketing initiatives, promotions, stadium projects/enhancements, game day and non-game day events, community/charity involvement and overall baseball operations.
