Science Central to hold conservation education training for middle school teachers
(September 19, 2015) – On September 19, Science Central will host a Flying WILD educators training for formal and informal teachers interested in integrating bird education and conservation activities into school curriculum in an engaging, successful, and academically purposeful manner.
Designed to introduce middle school students to environmental stewardship, Flying WILD provides teachers with educational tools and resources to help implement the program at their school or center.
The educator’s training costs $15 per person and participants will receive a copy of Flying WILD: An Educator’s Guide to Celebrating Birds.
Pre-registration is required. Anyone interested in participating in the training should visit sciencecentral.org or contact Freya Berntson, School and Public Programs Manager at freya@sciencecentral.org or 260-424-2400 ext. 426. Registration closes on September 18.
