Tickets for Science Central fall events on sale now

(August 21, 2015) – This Fall Science Central will be overrun by zombies, aliens, spaceships, disease experts and secret agents. Starting October 3, the science center will host a series of different special events exploring and celebrating the connections between scientific realities and fantastic impossibilities. Tickets for all of these events are on sale now at sciencecentral.org.

 

Sci-Fi Central – October 3, 2015

Science Central will kick off the season on October 3 with Sci-Fi Central.This mini-convention will be a celebration of all things science fiction, fantasy, gaming, comic books and more. Visitors will be able to participate in a variety of activities, including photo opportunities, gaming tables, discussion panels with local experts and special guests and vendor tables. Wear your costume! Anyone interested in having a vendor table will need to fill out the registration form found on the website. Admission is $8.00 per person; members get in free. Pre-sale tickets are available online now.

 

Soulless Science – October 9, 2015

On October 9, Science Central will host its second adult-only evening program, “Soulless Science: The Quest for Patient Zero”. Participants will prepare for an impending zombie apocalypse with a night of fun in pandemic proportions, while examining patients and getting hands-on with evidence. Tickets purchased online cost $20.00 per individual and $35.00 for a couple. Tickets purchased at the door will be $25.00 per individual and $40.00 for a couple. A complimentary beverage ticket will be provided with online preregistration by 10:00 a.m. on October 5. Attendees must be 21 and over.

 

Zombie Overnight: Survive The Outbreak – October 23, 2015

Keeping with the zombie theme, but safely tailored to ages 6 and up. The science center will host the first of its new overnight programs called, “Zombie Overnight: Survive The Outbreak”. Participants are encouraged to grab their pillows and sleeping bags and prepare for an impending Zombie Apocalypse. Kids will explore Science Central after dark and get hands-on with experiments not for the faint of heart. Spend the night among the exhibits and wake up to a light breakfast. Children must be 6 years old to attend. Families and groups must maintain a ratio of at least 1 adult to 8 children. Chaperones must stay with children at all times. Tickets purchased online cost $18.00 per person. Tickets purchased before Friday, September 18, cost $15.00 per person.

 

Mixology: Shaken, Not Stirred – November 6, 2015

Last but not least, Science Central will once again host its wildly popular signature event, “Mixology: Shaken, Not Stirred” on November 6. This year, the science center is giving the annual gala a makeover and will offer a variety of cocktails and hors d’oueves tailored to the secret agent theme. Similar to years past, the gala will feature a celebrity mixologist and gastronomy exhibits.Cocktail attire recommended. Mixology: Shaken, Not Stirred is presented by Harris.
