USF Announces Brookside Ballroom Lecture Series

(August 24, 2015) — The University of Saint Francis Department of Philosophy and Theology has announced the dates and speakers for its 2015-2016 Brookside Ballroom lecture series. All events, except for the September 23 lecture, will take place in the ballroom of the Brookside building on the USF campus, 2701 Spring Street.

  • September 23, 2015, 7 p.m. – “Catholic Teaching on Marriage, Divorce and Annulments” featuring Father Mark Gurtner. (This event will take place in the Achatz Hall of Science Gunderson Auditorium, 2701 Spring Street.)
  • October 11, 2015, 3 p.m. – “Isaiah 40-55: The Book of Consolation” featuring Sister Felicity Dorsett, OSF
  • November 11, 2015, 7 p.m. – “Eastern Christians and Islam” featuring Dr. Adam DeVille
  • February 7, 2016, 3 p.m. – “Living an Extraordinary Jubilee of Mercy” featuring Sister Jacinta Krecek, OSF
  • March 6, 2016, 3 p.m. – “Religious Freedom” featuring Dr. John Bequette
  • April 6, 2016, 7 p.m. – “Emmanuel Levinas on Ethics as First Philosophy” featuring Dr. Vincent Wargo
  • April 17, 2016, 3 p.m. – “What’s This Nonsense About Values?” featuring Dr. Earl Kumfer
