Trine’s Innovation One to host annual economic development forum

ANGOLA, Ind. (September 4, 2015) – Community members are invited to learn about entrepreneurship and innovation next month at an event hosted by Trine University’s Innovation One (i1) in partnership with local economic development organizations.

The Eighth Annual Northeast Indiana Economic Development Forum is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 10 at Trine University’s Keith E. Busse/ Steel Dynamics, Inc. Athletic and Recreation Center, 1001 Thunder Drive, Angola.

Chuck Surack, founder and president of Sweetwater Sound, will serve as the keynote speaker, addressing the audience on the “Experience of a Northeast Indiana Entrepreneur.” Lunch will be provided.

The Four County Economic Development Forum is an annual event hosted by local economic development organizations from DeKalb, Lagrange, Noble and Steuben counties. This year, the forum partners with Innovation One (innovation1.org) to focus on resources available to regional businesses through Trine’s i1, regional assets and challenges for area entrepreneurs, and what to expect from the Regional Business Initiative and newly established Regional Development Authority.

This event is free and open to the public.
