Death Investigation, 3400 block of Hanna Street

Victim: Adult Male, deceased

Details:

On Sunday, 08/30/2015, at approximately 10:52AM, the City of Fort Wayne Police Department responded to a home in the 3400 block of Hanna St. to assist paramedics with an unconscious person. Upon arriving, officers located an adult male inside a home suffering from apparent stab wounds. Paramedics pronounced the male deceased.

Preliminary information indicates a group of males were hanging out together, when a disturbance ensued that led to the victim being stabbed. Detectives are currently speaking with those involved, trying to determine what led to the stabbing. At this time no arrests have been made, and no suspects have been identified, as it will take time to piece together the information. Any relationship between the victim and others present is also being investigated.

Crime scene personnel are processing the scene for evidence. After speaking with the persons who were on scene, detectives will also speak with neighbors in an attempt to get information.

The identity, and cause and manner of death will be released by the Allen County Coroner’s Office.

This incident remains under investigation by the City of Fort Wayne Police Department, Allen County Coroner’s Office, and the Allen County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.
