Press release from the Lutheran Health Network:

St. Joseph Hospital completes reinvestment of $2.1 million in cath lab and diagnostic services on first floor
New technology and redesigned space will enhance patient care and satisfaction

(August 18, 2015) – Officials from St. Joseph Hospital announced today that a renovation of its catheterization laboratory and diagnostic procedural services area is now complete. The 1,964-square-foot renovation makes it St. Joe’s second interventional cath lab to be updated in the last five years. The newly completed diagnostic procedural services area will be in use starting this week. The $2.1 million reinvestment improves workflow efficiency and it allows for upgraded equipment in the suite.

“St. Joseph Hospital’s ongoing investments in new technology allow our medical staff to continue to provide quality care in the heart of the city,” said Kenneth Jones, CEO, St. Joseph Hospital. “We have cardiologists and cardiac surgeons available 24/7, as well as a nationally accredited chest pain center. The second interventional cath lab will enable us to better serve our patients’ immediate needs.”

The project improves spaces used for the care of cardiovascular patients. The goal was to encourage a peaceful, relaxing atmosphere to support the healing of patients and their families.
