News release from Liz Brown for Congress:

Brown Supports Protests of Planned Parenthood
More than 300 Protests Are Occurring Nationwide in Response to Planned Parenthood Scandal

(August 22, 2015) – Today, thousands of Americans are gathering at more than 300 Planned Parenthood locations to peacefully protest the business’s participation in the harvesting and sale of aborted babies’ bodies. Indiana State Senator and congressional candidate, Liz Brown, released the following statement:

“I’m grateful for the Center for Medical Progress and for the countless Americans working to expose Planned Parenthood for what it really is. Planned Parenthood is a business and its business is abortion. They care more about profiting from the organs of aborted babies that they carefully preserve for sale to research companies than they do about the women they are supposed to serve or treating the aborted babies’ bodies with dignity.

“This spring, the Indiana General Assembly passed my bill establishing respectful rules for disposing of aborted remains. Now Indiana abortion facilities like Planned Parenthood must allow women to at least bury their dead babies with dignity, if they so choose. Aborted babies are not garbage and they are not an additional source of revenue for abortion businesses. This bill is a small step in the effort to recognize the humanity of the unborn and end abortion.

“Today thousands of Americans are protesting outside of Planned Parenthood facilities in more than 300 cities. I join their calls to expose, defund and investigate Planned Parenthood. Planned Parenthood’s horrific practice of dismembering babies for profit has to stop.”

The protests are organized by more than 50 pro-life groups. Of the more than 300 protests, eight are occurring in Indiana. More information is available at www.protestpp.com.
