News release from WOWO:
WOWO Radio looking for memories of station
(August 12, 2015) – WOWO Radio in Fort Wayne, Indiana is in the process of gathering interviews of listeners for a radio documentary. If you have a great WOWO memory or were part of the station at some point, we want to hear from you.
This year the station is celebrating 90 years in the community. The upcoming radio documentary currently in production will cover 90 years of broadcasting in Fort Wayne, as well as the impact and reach of WOWO during that time. Legendary broadcasters such as Bob Sievers, Jack Underwood, Jay Gould and Bob Chase all made their mark on the industry while working at WOWO, with each telling a story that will be included in this special.
The production of a 90 minute special will air on Thursday, November 19th and will include memories from the past 90 years, as well as audio samples of historic and comical moments.
If you have a WOWO memory you would like to share and contribute, please e-mail program director Ryan Wrecker at wrecker@wowo.com to schedule a phone interview.
If you have any WOWO memorabilia that can be displayed during this celebration, we would also request that you send us a photo to wrecker@wowo.com.
