On arrival officers observed that the driver of the passenger vehicle, an adult male was pinned behind the steering wheel of the vehicle requiring extrication by Fort Wayne fire personnel. His vehicle contained two passengers, an adult female who was seated in the front passenger seat and an adult male who was the back seat passenger. The driver of the box truck an adult male received minor injuries in the crash.

Preliminary information concerning the crash suggests that the box truck was southbound on Bluffton Road and the passenger car northbound. It appears that the passenger car attempted to turn left and in doing so collided with the box truck.

Fort Wayne Fire Department personnel had to manage a fuel and fluid spill that leaked from the box truck. The truck was making a food delivery to a Waynedale area Fort Wayne Community School. The truck’s contents were lost as a result of the crash. Bluffton Road was blocked during the investigation and reopened after 3½ hours.
