News release from the TinCaps:

Mother of Three to Receive Recycled Ride at TinCaps Game

(July 23, 2015) — When the TinCaps host the West Michigan Whitecaps on Friday, July 31, all attendees will be a part of an event that serves as a reminder that cars are much more than a form of transportation for many people. A “like new” refurbished vehicle will be presented to a newly-licensed nursing assistant, who is also a mother of three little girls. The vehicle was repaired by Gerber Collision & Glass and donated by Allstate Insurance.

The donation is a part of the National Auto Body Council’s Recycled Rides, a nationwide program where companies collaborate to repair and donate vehicles to deserving individuals and service organizations in local communities.

WHO: The recipient who came across hard times will receive a car to help her continue her path to self-sufficiency. This mother of three was caught in the middle of unpaid bills and found her and her family homeless. Upon a short stay at Vincent Village, Jennifer went back to school to renew her license as a Certified Nursing Assistant. After the renewal of her license she made a promise to herself to clean up her credit, and get back-on-track financially. Now, both she and her husband have full-time jobs.

WHERE: Parkview Field (Home of the Fort Wayne TinCaps) – 1301 Ewing St., Fort Wayne, IN 46802

WHEN: Friday, July 31 – After the game and before the fireworks
