Game recap from the TinCaps:

TinCaps Blank Bowling Green

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (July 25, 2015) – The TinCaps beat the Bowling Green Hot Rods, 2-0, Saturday night at Bowling Green Ballpark. Starter Thomas Dorminy and relievers Colby Blueberg and Yimmi Brasoban pitched Fort Wayne’s sixth shutout of the season.

Left fielder Franchy Cordero gave the TinCaps a 1-0 lead in the top of the fourth inning with a sacrifice fly. Cordero drove in shortstop Ruddy Giron, who walked to lead the inning off and advanced to third on a pair of errors by his counterpart Cristian Toribio.

Fort Wayne (16-14, 48-50) added an insurance run in the sixth, as first baseman Trae Santos plated second baseman Luis Urias to make it 2-0. Urias was hit by a pitch to start the frame, stole second, and reached third on a throwing error by Hot Rods catcher Nick Ciuoffo.

Dorminy allowed only two hits — one of which was a blooper — and a walk over six innings. The left-hander struck out four. Blueberg pitched two perfect innings and Brasoban followed suit in the ninth. They each K-ed two.

Bowling Green (15-15, 52-48) starter Chris Pike went seven innings and took the loss, even though both runs were unearned.

The TinCaps conclude their nine-game road trip Sunday afternoon at 3:05 EST in the rubber match of this three-gamer. Fort Wayne plans to send out righty Dinelson Lamet (3-5, 3.63) against righty Jose Mujica (0-0, 3.00). The game can be heard on ESPN Radio 1380, <a href="https://www.tincaps.com/"TinCaps.com, and the TuneIn Radio app beginning at 2:45.
