Critical Injury Shooting Investigation, 1400 block of McCulloch Street

On July 4, 2015, at 1:11AM, Fort Wayne Police responded to the 1400 block of McCulloch Street on a report of a disturbance. While on the way, police received reports of gunshots being fired and multiple people struck. Police arrived and located a total of six victims suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. One female was found to be in critical condition, and the other five were found to be in good condition. These victims were transported to a local hospital, where the female was later upgraded to serious condition, and the others remained in good condition. A short time later, police received reports of three additional walk in victims to a local hospital, two in good condition and one male in critical condition.
At this time it appears there was a party at a home in the 1400 block of McCulloch Street, and a disturbance ensued that led to shots being fired. At this time it is unclear what led to the disturbance or shots being fired.
There are currently no suspects or persons of interest. It is too early to tell if any gang activity played a role, as it is currently unknown what led to the shooting. At this time no weapons have been recovered.
