News release from Indiana Michigan Power:
I&M Outage Update
(July 1, 2015, 9:00 a.m.) – Indiana Michigan Power has restored power to all but eight customers who lost service during Saturday’s storm.
Crews are assigned to restore the few remaining customers, and we expect to restore their service by noon today.
As of this morning, I&M has replaced:
- 48 Transformers
- 85 Cross arms
- 88 Poles
I&M wishes to thank our employees and the crews from out of state who traveled many miles away from their families to perform restoration work. Their tireless efforts, with individual employees working 16-hour shifts, are much appreciated.
Most importantly, I&M thanks the 32,000 customers for their understanding after losing power during the unexpected wind storm. I&M understands the frustration customers experienced, and we appreciate your patience as well the support you expressed to our crews.
