Critical Injury Accident
Date: Monday, June 29, 2015
Time: 10:30 a.m.
Location: 7717 Hightower Place (Rear Property)
Victim: Adult Male, Critical Condition
Details:
Fort Wayne police are presently investigating a single motor vehicle accident which was reported at approximately 10:30 a.m. this morning. Officers responded to 7717 Hightower Place and once on site discovered the crash in the rear yard of the property.
It appears at this time that the victim was heading northbound on Maplecrest Road left the right side of the roadway, traveled approximately 500′ across an open field where he drove through the privacy fence in the rear of 7717 Hightower Place became airborne and eventually ending up partially in an in ground swimming pool.
The victim was transported from the scene to a local hospital in critical condition. Investigators suspect he suffered some type of medical event before losing control of the vehicle.
This incident remains under investigation by the Fort Wayne Police Department, and the Allen County Coroner’s office.
