Fort Wayne Fringe Festival goes all in

(June 18, 2015) – Fort Wayne Fringe is proud to announce that August 2nd will kickoff the 2015 Fort Wayne Fringe Festival with an AllIN Block Party, thanks to a grant from Indiana Humanities. AllIN challenges Hoosiers to learn more about our state and celebrate our history and culture, bringing together community to explore new things. The event will also include the 2nd Annual Fringe K. Fringe K is a short, fun run through the alleyways of the neighborhoods surrounding Wunderkammer Company. This year, Fringe K will include costume categories including Indiana Historical Figure, Bearded, Best Solo Costume, and Best Group Costume. The winners in each fcategory will receive trophies, thanks to LaHartz.

This event will kickoff the third year of Fort Wayne Fringe, a weeklong performance festival. This festival gives a snapshot of local, regional, and national talent, crossing all types of artistic boundaries. The performances range in style from plays, musicals, dance, and more! This year, the festival will include 17 acts, with a total of 27 performances. Half of the performers are local, offering audiences the opportunity to experience up and coming talent from right here in Fort Wayne. This year will also include acts from other cities in Indiana, Chicago, Virginia, Kentucky, and even Georgia. Tickets are $5 per person, per performance, with all ticket sales going back directly to the artists. The performances will take place Wednesday, August 5th to Sunday, August 9th.

About Fort Wayne Fringe
Fort Wayne Fringe is a weeklong performance festival held at Wunderkammer Company. Fort Wayne Fringe seeks to give cutting edge artists a venue in which to perform and provide larger groups an opportunity to throw caution to the westerly winds, taking risks with productions that might otherwise be out of the scope of their standard subscription fare. This festival, based on alreadysuccessful festivals around the world, will run from August 2nd to August 9th, and will feature the region’s most dynamic performers.
