News release from the Fort Wayne Fire Department:
House Fire, 1530 Edsall Avenue
(June 23, 2015) – The Fort Wayne Fire Department (FWFD) responded to a reported structure fire at 1530 Edsall Avenue. Units arrived on scene within 3 minutes, finding heavy smoke throughout the structure. Crews made an aggressive interior attack, limiting fire spread to the first floor room of origin. The fire was placed under control 14 minutes after arrival on scene. The first floor suffered moderate fire and water damage, while the entire structure was heavily damaged by smoke.
There were no civilian or firefighter injuries, and the fire remains under investigation.
The FWFD was assisted by TRAA, FWPD, AEP, and Neighborhood Code Enforcement.
