Severe weather expected into tonight
(June 22, 2015) – Much of the region is primed for 1 or more rounds of severe weather.
The first round may arrive as early as 2 pm EDT with the main threat being damaging winds and locally heavy rainfall. A second, potentially more intense line is forecast to develop on a cold front to the west and track rapidly east towards the region tonight, possibly entering western portions of the area by 6 pm EDT.
The potential exists for significant, widespread wind damage as well as isolated tornadoes and large hail. This graphic is accurate as of 1130 am EDT with conditions expected to change through the afternoon.
