Shooting Investigation
Date/Time of Incident: 6-15-2015, 10:23 PM
Location of Incident: 1400 Greene Street
Victim: Female (Deceased)
On Monday June 15, 2015 at approximately 10:23 PM, officers with the Fort Wayne Police Department responded to the 1400 block of Greene street in reference to a report of shots fired. While officers were responding to the scene, additional calls came into 911 dispatch advising that a female had been shot.
As offficers arrived on the scene, they located a female suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Paramedics arrived on the scene and pronounced the female to be deceased. There is no suspect information and no arrests have been made.
At this time, investigators have very little information regarding the incident and are attempting to interview any possible witnesses. The name of victim will be released by the Allen County Coroners Office. Investigators are asking anyone with information to contact the Fort Wayne Police Department or Crime Stoppers.
This incident remains under investigation by the Fort Wayne Police Department, Allen County Coroners Office, and the Allen County Prosecutors Office.
