News release from WorkOne Northeast Indiana:

WorkOne Northeast Hosts Financial Coach for Veterans

(June 10, 2015) – WorkOne Northeast has been selected by the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFBP) to participate in the federal agency’s Financial Coaching Initiative.

Allen County’s WorkOne Northeast career center, 201 E. Rudisill Blvd., Suite 102, Fort Wayne, is hosting financial coach Mike LeClear, who began work recently to help veterans throughout northeast Indiana plan and reach their financial goals.

The free financial coaching program is primarily designed for veterans who have separated or retired from active duty within the last three years.

“Roughly 250,000 service members nationally leave active duty every year, and the financial transition into civilian life can be challenging,” said LeClear. “Many transitioning service members lack experience in money management, and a trusted source of financial information and advice could make the difference in a successful transition to a financially stable post-military life.”

CFBP is the nation’s first federal agency whose sole focus is protecting consumers in the financial marketplace. WorkOne Northeast is one of 60 diverse partner organizations nationally to host CFBP financial coaches.

LeClear can be reached at 260-446-3934 or mleclear@afsc.com.
