Four-Day Summit is an Opportunity for Emerging Leaders to Be a Part of the Culture and Economic Development Fueling the Evolution of Fort Wayne; Tickets Now Available

(June 8, 2015) – Young Leaders of Northeast Indiana (YLNI), a volunteer organization committed to enriching the Fort Wayne community, today announced that the 2015 “My City Summit: Cultivate Innovation, Community, Connection” will be held Wednesday, July 29 through Saturday, August 1 in and around downtown Fort Wayne. Tickets are now available and can be purchased online at mycitysummit.com. A limited number of VIP tickets are also for immediate purchase; VIP tickets include access to exclusive social networking events.

My City Summit began in 2012, created from the need to strengthen local community attachment for young college graduates. The collaborative event was an instant success, drawing more than 200 young professionals and community leaders together to celebrate the city and share ideas on how to improve community attachment and economic vitality. The event has grown significantly since 2012 with immense fanfare. This year, My City Summit has expanded its features and the length of the program to create a four-day event full of inspiration, wisdom, knowledge and social events designed to encourage Fort Wayne’s emerging leaders to take an active role in determining the future of the City.

“Young talent and emerging leaders are critical to the future of Fort Wayne. These inspired individuals are the future of our economy and the cornerstone of cultural development that will continue to shape Fort Wayne as an attractive place to live and work for all generations,” said Stephanie Veit, Vice President of Young Leaders of Northeast Indiana. “My City Summit is a chance for our community to come together; to talk, share, collaborate, invigorate and be inspired. This is a chance to get involved and be a part of defining this city that we love and call home.”

This year’s event kicks off on Wednesday, July 29 with a concert highlighting the local musical talents of Fort Wayne Funk Orchestra and Trichotomous Hippopotamus. On Thursday, educational sessions will highlight the impact of culture, connection and innovation on creating attractive communities. A lunch symposium will be held on the afternoon of Friday, July 31 for all attendees featuring Benjamin and Max Goldberg, the brothers responsible for reinvigorating the Nashville food scene through the introduction of innovative, one-of-a-kind dining concepts. The Ian Rolland Courageous Leadership Award recipient will also be recognized at the lunch symposium. On Saturday, participants are encouraged to visit the Barr Street Market as the event concludes.

My City Summit is a celebration of the accomplishments of the city of Fort Wayne and an opportunity to directly influence progress. For additional details about the event please visit My City Summit on Facebook and follow @MyCitySummit on Twitter.
