PBS39 holding second Explorer Day on Saturday, June 6, 2015 featuring free educational games, music and prizes

(June 1, 2015) – PBS39 invites local families to the PBS39 station for Explorer Day, a free family event featuring educational games, activities, and performances and more. This event takes place Saturday, June 6 from 10:00am to 2:00pm on the grounds of the PBS39 Teleplex located at 2501 East Coliseum Blvd. in Fort Wayne, adjacent to the campuses of IPFW and IVY Tech Northeast.

The day’s schedule begins at 10:00am with a mascot parade led by PBS39’s own Ryder and featuring several of the region’s popular mascots; A performance by Fort Wayne’s Youtheatre; Musical performances by the Atomic Sharks and K.A.O.S., a local children’s band, plus a special show by magician Jim Barron at 1:30pm. In addition, free games, activities and a bounce house will be available for kids of all ages throughout the event.

This family event is made possible through the support of community partners PNC Bank, NIPSCO, Erin’s House, Fort 4 Fitness, Headwaters Counseling, Fort Wayne Youtheatre, Martin Luther King Montessori School, Holy Cross Lutheran Church and School, IPFW Community Arts Academy, The Anthony Wayne Council, Boy Scouts of America, Bussick Orthodontics, Science Central, CORE The Resource Store and the 3 Rivers Co-Op Natural Grocery & Deli.
