Kick off your summer at Lunch on the Plaza this Thursday!
(May 28, 2015) – The Downtown Improvement District invites you to the season opener of Lunch on the Plaza, June 4th from 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. Grab lunch-to-go at one of the many great Downtown restaurants and join us at I&M Power Center Plaza (on the corner of Wayne and Calhoun Streets) to enjoy the musical stylings of Fernando Tarango and so much more!

New This Year:
Philly PHLyaway Contest: Fort Wayne International Airport (FWA) has teamed up with the Fort Wayne Downtown Improvement District, 95.1 Best FM, Fun 101.7, and Visit Philly to host a summer contest at the Lunch on the Plaza concert series. The Philly PHLyaway contest will award one winner and their guest a weekend getaway to Philadelphia, including roundtrip airfare on American Airlines, a three-night hotel stay at The Sonesta Philadelphia Downtown, and complimentary admission to five must-see tourist attractions.
One entry per guest per week will be accepted at the FWA, 95.1, and 101.7 booths at Lunch on the Plaza for a total of 13 chances to enter as the winner will be drawn at the end of the season on August 27th.
Operation F4 Activities: Join “Operation Fight For a Fitter Fort” for a series of fun activities on the yard each week at LOTP. June 4th will begin with the summertime favorite “Cornhole.” Also be sure to visit the F4 table to participate in their “30 day Challenge” where you can choose from a list of healthy challenges to adopt for 30 days with a fun photo opportunity that lets you celebrate your success.
My City Services: Fans of our “DID You Know” booth which showcases a different non-profit organizations each week will love “My City Services” which invites different City of Fort Wayne departments to engage attendees on the valuable programs they offer.
New Name, Same Great Event: With the renaming of One Summit Square to I&M Power Center Plaza at the end of 2014, “Lunch on the Plaza” is a new name for the same great summertime lunch event we all know and love.
Extended Time: This season Lunch on the Plaza will be programmed from 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.
