Fort Wayne Fringe Festival kicks off with t-shirt reveal

(May 28, 2015) – Wunderkammer Company is proud to announce the 2015 Fort Wayne Fringe Festival. Fort Wayne Fringe Festival is a week-long performance festival hosted by Wunderkammer Company, now in its third year. The festival will run from August 2nd to August 9th. The festival will include 17 acts, with a total of 27 performances. These acts range in style from plays, musicals, dance, music, and more, with performers from the Fort Wayne area, and all around the country. Wunderkammer Company is also excited to announce a grant from Indiana Humanities to hold an All-IN Block Party to open the festival on August 2nd, 2015.

In 2014, the Fort Wayne Fringe Festival was held from August 10th to the 17th, received media mentions across all formats, saw an audience of over 800 attendees, and produced over $4,200 for artists both local and regional (Indianapolis, Chicago, and Columbus (OH).

To reach beyond the performing arts community, Fort Wayne Fringe Festival held a t-shirt design contest to engage local artists and designers in the festival. Ryan Pickard, a young, local graphic designer, won the 2015 Fringe Festival T-Shirt contest. Wunderkammer Company is now selling t-shirts on pre-order.

About Fort Wayne Fringe
Fort Wayne Fringe is a week-long performance festival held at Wunderkammer Company. Fort Wayne Fringe seeks to give cutting edge artists a venue in which to perform and provide larger groups an opportunity to throw caution to the westerly winds, taking risks with productions that might otherwise be out of the scope of their standard subscription fare. This festival, based on already-successful festivals around the world, will run from August 2nd to August 9th, and will feature the region’s most dynamic performers.
