Death Investigation, 3600 block of Bowser Avenue

Details:
On Saturday, 05/23/2015, at approximately 9:50 PM, the City of Fort Wayne Police Department responded to the 3600 block of Bowser Avenue reference the report of a shooting. Officers arrived on scene and located a male/adult victim inside a residence suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Paramedics arrived and pronounced the victim deceased. The Homicide Team and Crime Scene Units were summoned to assist in this death investigation.
Detectives are currently interviewing potential witnesses and neighbors. Crime Scene Technicians are processing the scene and collecting evidence.
This incident remains under investigation by the City of Fort Wayne Police Department, the Allen County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office, and the Allen County Coroner’s Office.
The Allen County Coroner’s Office will release the victim’s identity along with the cause and manner of death. There are no additional details regarding this investigation at this time.
