Critical Injury Motor Vehicle Accident
Date: Saturday, May 2, 2015
Time: 3:18 a.m.
Location: 2800 Block E. Maple Grove Avenue
Victim: Jared W. Medrano M/25, Fort Wayne/Critical Condition
Details: Fort Wayne police responded to the 2800 block of E. Maple Grove Avenue after multiple callers reported a vehicle into a tree. Once on scene officers found a severely damaged Chevy Blazer which had impacted a tree head-on. Fire fighters had to extricate the driver from the vehicle and afterwards medics transported him to a local hospital where he was determined to be in critical condition.
The driver, Jared Medrano was the only occupant of the vehicle and it does appear that alcohol will play a factor in this crash. This incident remains under investigation by the Fort Wayne Police Department and the Allen County Prosecutors office.
