Veterans invited to play golf for free on City golf courses

Veterans Invited to Play Golf for Free on City Golf Courses

(April 27, 2015) — Veterans and active military personnel are invited to play golf for free at Foster, Shoaff or McMillen Park Golf Courses on May 8, July 10, September 11 and November 11. (Electric carts not included in this special.)

“This is a tremendous way to recognize and thank our veterans and active military personnel as they sacrifice so much for us to enjoy our freedom,” said Mayor Tom Henry. “Thank you to the Parks and Recreation Department for developing this unique effort to celebrate the true heroes in our community.”

Those wishing to play for free are asked to present a military I.D. We suggest scheduling a tee time for these days. Tee times may be reserved a week in advance at www.fortwayneparks.org. Or you may call your preferred golf course at the number below:
