Shooting Investigation
Date/Time of Incident: 04-09-2015 10:30 PM
Location of Incident: 1300 Greene Street
Victims:
- Adult Male (Deceased)
- Adult Female (Good Condition)
On Thursday April 9, 2015 at approximately 10:30 PM, officers with the Fort Wayne Police Department responded to the 1300 block of Greene Street in reference to a shooting investigation. As officers arrived on the scene, they located two victims suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. Paramedics arrived on the scene and administered medical attention to the victims before transporting them to a local hospital. The male victim was transported to the hospital in critical condition. A short time after arriving at the hospital, the male victim was pronounced deceased. The female victim was transported to the hopital in good condition.
Investigators advised that witnesses on the scene stated that there was some type of altercation just prior to the shooting possibly involving several individuals. There is no suspect information at this time and no arrests have been made.
The male victims identity as well as the exact cause and manner of death will be released at a later time by the Allen County Coroners Office. The name of the female victim will be released pending family notification. Investigators are continuing to interview possible witnesses to the incident at this time. Anyone who may have information regarding this incident is asked to contact the Fort Wayne Police Department.
This incident remains under investigation by the Fort Wayne Police Department, Allen County Coroners Office, and the Allen County Prosecutors Office.
