Enroll in TSA Pre?® program May 4-8 at Fort Wayne International Airport

News release from the Fort Wayne-Allen County Airport Authority:

Enroll in TSA Pre?® May 4-8 at Fort Wayne International Airport

(March 31, 2015) – Passengers and airport visitors will have the opportunity to enroll in the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) Pre?® program Monday, May 4 through Friday, May 8, 2015 at Fort Wayne International Airport (FWA). Hours of operation are 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.

The TSA Pre?® program launched at FWA in November 2014 and allows participating flyers to experience a more efficient airport screening process by leaving on their shoes, light jackets and belts and leaving laptops and compliant liquids in carry-on bags. Over 117 airports have dedicated TSA Pre?® lanes and 11 airlines participate in the program, including Alaska Airlines, American Airlines, Delta Air Lines, Hawaiian Airlines, JetBlue Airways, Southwest Airlines, United Airlines, US Airways, and Virgin America.

Travelers wishing to enroll must visit www.identogo.com/FWA to fill out an online application and schedule an appointment time. The process is completed on-site by providing fingerprints for a background check. Proof of identity and citizenship status is required at time of enrollment – a U.S. passport meets both requirements. Enrollment will take place pre-security near baggage claim and does not require the applicant to be a ticketed passenger. Walk-ins will be accepted but appointments will take precedence over them.

The application fee is $85 and may be paid by credit card, money order, company check, or certified/cashier’s check. Cash and personal checks are not accepted.

After completing enrollment, successful applicants will receive a Known Traveler Number (KTN) via U.S. mail in approximately 2-3 weeks that is valid for five years. The enrollee should enter the provided KTN in the ‘Known Traveler Number’ field when booking travel reservations. The KTN also can be added when booking reservations online via a participating airline website, via phone call to the airline reservation center, or with the travel management company making reservations. Additionally, the KTN can be entered in participating airline frequent flyer profiles, where it will be stored for future reservations.
