NICE Career Fair coming April 14; largest career expo in the area

(March 20, 2015) — More than 100 employers and over 156 recruiters will be on hand at Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne (IPFW) for the Northeast Indiana Career Enrichment (NICE) Fair, Tuesday, April 14, from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. in the IPFW Athletics Center Fieldhouse.

For 24 years, the NICE Career Fair has been connecting northeast Indiana students, alumni, and employers. Nine accredited colleges and universities collaborate to make the Career Fair possible. It is open to students and alumni of NICE institutions:

  • IPFW
  • Ivy Tech Community College
  • Indiana Tech
  • University of Saint Francis
  • Manchester University
  • Grace College
  • Indiana Wesleyan University
  • Trine University
  • Huntington University

Josiah Brown, assistant director for employer services and chair of the NICE 2015 career fair committee, said that this is a grand opportunity for students to take advantage of over 100 employers looking to meet candidates to fill their needs in one setting. “The NICE Career Fair provides an avenue for participants to speak directly with companies of interest to them and make a good impression by dressing professionally and having a clear, concise message that they want to convey. It’s essential to come in knowing who you want to see and why, and to gather contact information to follow-up. We are blessed to be in a position to offer this opportunity to students and alumni. We urge all who can to take advantage.”
