Fatal Shooting, 4600 Oliver St.

Date: 3/22/2015

Time: 10:23 pm

Location: 4600 Oliver St.

Victim: Adult Male

On March 22, 2015 at approximately 10:23 hours Officers with the Fort Wayne Police Department responded to a call of shoots fired in the area of 4600 Oliver St. This was the second call for service regarding shoots fired in the area of 4600 Oliver St. today.

Upon arrival in the area Officers witnessed multiple vehicles and people on foot flee. It was later determined that a residence in the area had been shot up. The residence had multiple bullet holes on the exterior and interior of the home. Once discoverd that the home was involved, Officers checked the residence for victims. An adult male was found with a gunshot wound and was pronounced deceased by paramedics at the scene. No other injuries have been reported at this time.

The complainant party who called the run in was questioned and may be a possible witness. Other possible witnesses from the previous shoots fired call and this call were being sought and questioned. At this time it is not known if gang activity was a precipitating factor in the shooting. The relationship of the parties involved is still being determined.

This incident remains under investigation by the Fort Wayne Police Department, the Allen County Prosecutors Office, and the Coroners Office. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to call The Fort Wayne Police Department at 427-1222 or Crime Stoppers at 436-7867.
