Public Input Sought on Short-, Long-Term Transportation Plans
Open house planned for March 24, at Fort Wayne Sub District Building(March 11, 2015) – The purpose of the open house is to meet with community and transportation stakeholders regarding the Statewide Transportation Improvement Program (STIP). The STIP is a four-year planning document that lists all projects expected to be funded during those four years, including pavement and bridge facilities, and projects that address safety, congestion, mobility and emergency response. In addition, this document includes investment in various modes, including highways, transit, pedestrian trails, and bicycle facilities. During the open house, INDOT officials will be available to address questions and solicit input on a variety of topics including planning, project selection, multimodal, highway safety, economic opportunity, Local Public Agency, public involvement, district operations and other INDOT programs.
The public open house is an opportunity to meet with INDOT officials and program managers in an informal setting where discussion and conversation will be welcomed and appreciated.
