Indiana Michigan Power offers power outage text & email alerts

(March 2, 2015) – Indiana Michigan Power, an operating unit of American Electric Power (NYSE: AEP), is excited to announce that customers now have the option to be notified by text message or email when their home or business is affected by a power outage. Customers enrolled in I&M ON THE GO – Mobile Alerts will receive a notification when an outage has been reported in their area and will continue to get immediate updates as I&M crews determine the outage cause and predict when power is expected to be restored.
