Incident Date: 3/4/2015

Incident Time: 4:32pm

Incident Location: 1900 Greentree Ct

Victim: Adult Male/Critical Condition

On Wednesday, March 4, 2015, at 04:32pm, the Fort Wayne Police department responded to calls about gunshots being heard in the 1900 block of Greentree Ct. While officers were responding, another caller reported an adult male in a vehicle in the 1000 block of Buchanan St. suffering from an apparent gunshot wound(s). Officers arrived and located the victim, an adult male, and paramedics determined the victim to be in critical condition. He was transported to a local hospital where he remains in critical condition.

Initial information indicates the victim was inside of a vehicle in the 1900 block of Greentre Ct., when an altercation ensued, and gunshots were fired inside the vehicle. The victim vehicle then fled to the 1000 block of Buchanan St.

At this time it is unclear what led up to the altercation or the shots being fired. There are currently no suspect descriptions or information, and it is too early to determine whether gang activity had anything to do with this or not. Any relationship between the victim and the shooter(s) is being investigated. At this time no weapons have been recovered.

Detectives are canvassing the area, searching for and interviewing witnesses. Crime Scene Technicians are processing the scene, searching for and collecting evidence. Any businesses in the area will be contacted to see if they have video footage.
