News release from the TinCaps:

TinCaps to Hold National Anthem Auditions
Tryouts to Honor America at Parkview Field

(February 23, 2015) — Players aren’t the only ones at Parkview Field with big-time talent. Before the games even start, musical proficiency is showcased on the field during the National Anthem. With that in mind, the TinCaps are seeking talented individuals, groups, and instrumentalists to perform “The Star-Spangled Banner” for the 2015 season.

This year the TinCaps are excited to welcome a special guest judge to anthem auditions. Chris Murphy, Drama Director at Concordia Lutheran High School, will be an expert to help select Fort Wayne’s best talent to open all 70 TinCaps home games.

The TinCaps will hold tryouts during the coming weeks before the season. To reserve an audition time, interested performers must contact PJ Carr at 260-407-2812 or carr@tincaps.com. The team is not accepting any walk-up auditions. There is no guarantee that every performer who tries out will be accepted to sing prior to a game this season.

National Anthem performers for a TinCaps game don’t receive monetary compensation, but are given four tickets to the game at which they perform.

The TinCaps open their 2015 season at Parkview Field on Sunday, April 12 at 4:05 p.m. against the Lansing Lugnuts. Tickets for the 2015 season are on sale now. Visit TinCaps.com or call 260-482-6400 for more information.
